We got in to Asia Hotel Bangkok at around 7:15am after a long overnight train ride from Chiang Mai. We were absolutely WOWed by the foyer that looks like a 7 star hotel. We worried that we were at the wrong place! Luckily we werent and they let us check in 7 hours early! Our room is on the same floor as 1 of 2 pools and a spa. It has fresh water tap and a bath! Below us is a gym, sauna and a reseraunt. We have 5 resteraunts all together, a health club, a hair dresser, shops and caberet shows all in our hotel.
It is also connected to a Monorail train that takes us to MBK where we spent most of the day. We had a un-oil massage that cost 300 baht/hour which is very expensive ($12au), an Oil Massage is $20/hour (in Chiang Mai it was just $8/hour)! Eriko really wants a manicure but here they are $8 instead of $2 in Chiang Mai. We had a drink from the food court which use a coupen system (very wierd) and dinner in the Fifth Avenue which uses a card system (also wierd). We did a bit of shopping but plan to do alot more tomorow.
Eriko says, "Say Eriko bought Chanel shoes, AWSUM" They are pretty hawt on her! We spent about an hour to two hours trying to find a deck of cards to play in our room. We couldnt find any in an entire shopping center however we found a $20 deck at 7-Eleven which we bought :(
