Diary for day 23

We had breakfast for the first time in the Patong Lodge which is ok but no bacon for Mannan. We then went to do some laundry and book our Simon Cabaret and our Fantasea shows aswell as try to go to monkey school as we were monkey defficent after a disappointing monkey bay.

We booked everything and got a friend of our tourist information guy to drive us to Monkey school, a lookout, a temple and a scam jewellery shop (Thailand taxi style). The Monkey school was awsum and we have heaps of videos and photos. Eriko loved it to death and is her highlight of her trip. It was pretty damn sweet.

The temple was cool but Eriko was forbidden as she wore a short skirt. Luckily the security guard lent her his jacket to tie around her waist. The temples are all starting to look the same to us though. The jewellery shop was pretty cool but very hard to get out of (on purpose ofcourse). Once we escaped we were dropped off at our hotel where Mannan swam (Eriko didnt want to show her bumps) and ordered a late lunch.

We got all dressed up in our best gear to go to the Simon Cabaret Show. Our minibus that picked us up still had to pick some more people up however he couldnt find thier hotel. We eventually found it on top off a huge mountain in the middle of no where. To get there you had to go up a two way, one lane road which was scary but we are becoming acustom to the traffic rules (or lack there off). Our taxi driver that took us to Monkey school described it as freestyle. Getting to the show late, we quickly collected our Vip tickets for the show and went in. It was very cool, alot like calypso but had nicer chairs.

We got dropped off not at our hotel but Bangla road as Eriko had been wishing for markets. Her prayers had been answered. We bought a pair of jeans, boardies, undies, jacket and then went to Burger King! Yum Yum. We had double bbq bacon burger and a black pepper burger (guess who got what). Then we returned home.
