Diary for day 8
We get up at about 8:30 and have some breakfast (toast and eggs or jam) and begin our trek once again. Today we must trek over two hills, both of which were extremely steep and tiring. After accomplishing both hills, we stopped at an elephant shop to have lunch. Here, we sat in the river, which was full of fools gold and Mannan played this game with Pun Pun (our tour guide) it was like volleyball but you cant use your hands. After lunch, we rode elephants for about an hour. At the end of our elephant ride we walked about 5 minutes to the village in which we were going to spend the night. We went to bathe in the river again (we later found out it was full of snakes, fish and crocodiles - we actually saw the snakes and the fish EWWWWWW). Dinner was bannana spring rolls (a bit weird), curry, sweet and sour chicken and stir fried long beans. After dinner 6 of the girls got Thai massages (Mannan and I were not game enough). Later in the night we all sat around a fire and played a game called Ping, Pong, Pang (will explain later, but we all ended up with very messed up faces and there was a hilarious ddrunk guy who sucked at the game and ended up with a black face). We then went to bed in our little hut.
